MY
DENOMINATION
You
ask me where I belong,
The answer won't take too long,
You have to be quite strong,
To go all the way along.
So
I belong to:
Non-domination denomination,
Denomination of non-domination!
Nobody
tells you what you should do,
Nobody tells you when to change shoe,
Nobody tells you what should be true,
Nobody tells you you should be cruel!
So
we belong to:
Non-domination denomination,
Denomination of non-domination!
You
have to make sure, I'm not above you;
I have to make sure you're not above me:
So both of us can see, all of us can see,
We are one beautiful, wonderful tree.
So we belong to:
Non-domination denomination,
Denomination of non-domination!
And
this is my nation,
Of non-domination,
Of happy carnations,
And joyful flirtation!
So, non-domination
Without contamination,
No exploitation,
And no more frustration!
So
we belong to:
Non-domination denomination,
Denomination of non-domination!
OATH
OF A JOYFUL EXISTENTIALIST
(dedicated to the lessons of
Dr. Richard Rubenstein)
I
pledge allegiance to the principle of love and compassion
and promise to be a human being and not a machine.
I
swear to pray on poetry and music and admire the power of
mysterious feelings.
I
will never give up the hope of freedom, regardless of the
circumstances I get in.
I
swear to share myself with other and not to believe in the
myth of scarcity.
I
swear not to be competitive, regardless of what people do
to me.
I
swear to understand the tragedy and share the pain of others.
I
swear not to believe that there are us and them and that
to justify our existence we need enemies.
I
swear not to believe that human nature is to hurt each other
and to be competitve.
I
swear not to be predictable like a machine and not to act
like a slave of my instincts of fear and insecurity.
I
swear to believe in the divinity, which has bigger power
than any type of wealth.
I
swear not to be obedient to nothingness, just to keep my
physical existence.
I
swear not to be spontaneous and break the laws of scientific
logic.
I
swear to never calculate human life in mathematical numbers
and compare human beings to a computer.
I
swear not to be a bourgeosis, self-centered consumer.
I
swear to break the walls of alienation through the art of
compassion.
I
swear to live charitably.
I
swear to live in harmony with nature and never abuse it.
I
swear that I will trust that everybody can be happy.
I
swear that I will fear an empty existence more than death
itself.
I
swear that I will always try to remember the 9th Symphony
of Beethoven.
I
swear to give myself to others as much as I can!
I
swear that a person is not a wolf of another person.
I
swear never to adopt the ugly principles against which I
now pledge as a basis for my action.
